Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Small roof and trim details

A Colonial Revival firehouse carries modest trim that can vanish at small print sizes. Print friendly adapts small details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on larger prints with a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Rescue Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 Firehouse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Rescue Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 Firehouse takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Rescue Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 Firehouse

In Roslyn, a village in Nassau County, New York, stands a historic fire station built for a rescue hook and ladder company. The fire department dates from November 1, 1852, but the Colonial Revival building went up in 1937. It was designed by Henry W. Johanson, a prominent architect based in Roslyn.

The firehouse was later sold, repurposed and renovated. A newer firehouse for the company, dedicated in 1986, contains five fire trucks and larger equipment. The company's volunteer firefighters have claimed several championships in competitions with other firehouses. The older building's listing on the National Register of Historic Places dates to May 6, 1991.
