About Silver Sevens
In Paradise, Nevada, 1.6 km (1 mile) east of the Strip, stands Silver Sevens, a hotel with a locals casino. The hotel has 327 rooms, and the casino covers 2,808.0 m2 (30,225 sq ft). The property sits on 4.0 ha (10 acres). Its first form was the Hotel Continental and Casino, which was under construction in 1979 and opened with 400 rooms a year later.
As the Continental it ran from 1980 until it closed on March 31, 1999, over financial problems. The Herbst family, who owned the Terrible Herbst gas station chain, bought it in late 1999 and renovated it, demolishing the interior while keeping the outer shell. Acquisition and renovation cost $65 million. Terrible's Hotel Casino opened its doors on December 6, 2000. A new hotel tower and a parking garage arrived in 2007, after some hotel rooms were demolished to clear space.
An 18-month renovation, finished in January 2013, cost $7 million. It covered the rooms and the sportsbook, and the casino gained nearly 1,000 new slot machines. On July 1, 2013, the property took the name Silver Sevens. The name is a nod to Nevada's nickname, the Silver State, with seven considered lucky in gambling. The old Terrible's cowboy sign went to the city's Neon Museum as a donation.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 6 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 7 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Fine window lines on the block
- The U-shaped hotel block has rows of fine window lines along its faces. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm and a larger print size keep them crisp, while Print friendly softens the finest ones.
- Open-sided garage floors
- The multi-level garage is built from thin floor slabs with open sides. Full detail keeps every slab edge, which suits a larger print; Print friendly adapts the thinnest parts to the print scale.
- One piece with the ground
- Silver Sevens is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Silver Sevens takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Silver Sevens is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Silver Sevens STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Silver Sevens grows with the print: about 6 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
