About South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa
South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is a resort on Las Vegas Boulevard, in Enterprise, Nevada, to the south of the Las Vegas Strip. Coast Casinos bought the land in 2001 and unveiled the project, then called South Coast, in April 2003. Ground was broken on April 22, 2004. J.A. Tiberti Construction was the general contractor, and Klai Juba Architects and Leo A Daly designed it.
South Coast opened on December 22, 2005, after costing $625 million. Michael Gaughan took over ownership from Boyd Gaming on October 25, 2006, and renamed it South Point, choosing the name because few letters on the signage had to change. A third tower, finished in July 2008, lifted the hotel to 2,163 rooms.
The hotel is 25 stories high and has 2,163 rooms. The casino covers 12,749.3 m2 (137,232 sq ft), and the resort also has an equestrian and events center. Michael Gaughan, who founded Coast Casinos, owns and runs it, and it became the largest hotel for locals in Las Vegas.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 700 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Flat casino roof
- The wide casino building has a flat roof with small rooftop boxes. Print friendly keeps them from turning into fragile nubs; Full detail suits a large print or a fine nozzle.
- Hotel towers with window grids
- The tall hotel blocks carry fine window patterns on their sides. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a larger print size keep those lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
