10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Detail on a large church
A church this size keeps more of its wall and roof edges at a larger print size. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers so the vertical edges stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
St. Maria im Kapitol is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. St. Maria im Kapitol takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About St. Maria im Kapitol
St. Maria im Kapitol is a Romanesque church in the Kapitol-Viertel of Cologne's old town. It was built between 1040 and 1065 and dedicated to St. Mary, and it is one of the twelve Romanesque churches of Cologne. Its name refers to the Roman temple of the Capitoline Triad that stood on the site in the first century.
Its plan is based on Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity. Measuring 100 m by 40 m and enclosing 4,000 square meters, it is the largest of Cologne's Romanesque churches. Its east end is trefoil-shaped, with three apses, and the building has a nave, aisles and three towers on the west side. The nave rests on the foundations of the Roman temple, whose walls were reused as a base. Apart from Speyer Cathedral, it is regarded as the most significant example of German church architecture from the Salian dynasty. It is listed as an architectural heritage monument in North Rhine-Westphalia and is a Catholic church.
