346 m of The Center, 95 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall tower and spire
The spire at the top is the thinnest part of the model. Print slowly with good cooling so the tip stays clean, and use Print friendly if the print is small.
- Slender shaft
The tower is tall for its width, so layer height matters. A setting of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps the stepped crown and the vertical lines on the shaft crisp.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Center takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About The Center
The Center is a skyscraper at 99 Queen's Road Central in Hong Kong's Central district, about midway between the Sheung Wan and Central stations of the MTR Island line. It is 346 m (1,135 ft) tall and has 73 stories. Few Hong Kong skyscrapers are built wholly of steel with no reinforced concrete core, and it is also among the world's tallest steel buildings. It was designed by the firm Dennis Lau & Ng Chun Man.
The English name uses the American spelling "The Center", although most similarly named buildings in Hong Kong spell it "Centre". The footprint is irregular because the surrounding lots had already been redeveloped. Building it meant tearing down many old buildings and lanes, and several streets and lanes were shortened. Many cloth shops from Wing On Street, called Cloth Alley, moved to the Western Market.
Its best-known feature is its neon: hundreds of bar-shaped lights spaced more closely toward the top. At night they slowly cycle through the colors of the spectrum, and in the Christmas season the pattern takes a festive form that looks like a Christmas tree. A sky lobby system serves the tower. The first set of elevators goes up to the 6th floor, the second continues to the 42nd, and the third serves the floors above.
About this model
The Center is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
