About Hong Kong
Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China, sits just south of Shenzhen on China's southern coast. Its parts are Kowloon, the New Territories and Hong Kong Island. After the Qing dynasty lost the First Opium War and gave up Hong Kong Island in 1841–1842, the British Empire established a colony there. The colony grew to include the Kowloon Peninsula in 1860, and a 99-year lease on the New Territories followed in 1898. Japan occupied the territory from 1941 to 1945, and in 1997 it was transferred from the United Kingdom to China. Originally farming and fishing villages, it ranks among the world's most significant financial centers.
Hong Kong has the largest number of skyscrapers in the world, with 554 towers taller than 150 meters (490 ft). Little available space pushed development toward closely packed high-density tenements and commercial complexes. Two International Finance Centre and the International Commerce Centre are the territory's tallest buildings, and the skyline of Hong Kong Island also includes the Bank of China Tower with its sharp edges, the circular Hopewell Centre and the triangular Central Plaza. The 1846 Flagstaff House is the oldest Western-style building, and the Tin Hau Temple, which dates to 1012 with a rebuilding in 1266, is the oldest existing structure.

Common questions
Are these Hong Kong landmark models free?
Yes. All 8 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Hong Kong landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Hong Kong landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 10 and 136 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
