About The Henderson

The Henderson, a skyscraper in Central, Hong Kong, has 36 stories and rises 190 m (623 ft). Zaha Hadid Architects designed it. At 2 Murray Road, the site was reported to be the priciest plot in the world, valued at US$3 billion, when developer Henderson Land Development bought it in 2017. A car park on the site was then demolished. Henderson Land gave the Murray Road Project the name "The Henderson", and building work ran from 2019 to 2024.

The tower's defining feature is its curved silhouette. The designers took inspiration from a Bauhinia bud in full bloom, and the glass facade aims to pair sustainability with technological function. It has earned 10 local and international accreditations for sustainability and smart technology standards, including LEED and BEAM Plus. It is a super Grade-A office tower of 465,000 square feet.

A curated art collection is placed throughout the building and in The Art Garden. Christie's, the first anchor tenant, has four office floors of roughly 50,000 square feet in total, and the Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet uses roughly 12,000 square feet on a full floor. It also has three restaurants, named Akira Back, Peridot and Hana no Kumo.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes

Tall, wavy tower
The tower is tall and slender with a gently wavy outline. Printing slowly with good cooling helps the tall form, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the curves smooth.
Three-lobed crown and fine ribs
The top ends in three rounded lobes, and the sides carry fine vertical ribs. Print friendly adapts these small details; Full detail keeps them, best for a larger print.
One piece with the ground
The Henderson is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Henderson takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

The Henderson is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a The Henderson STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. The Henderson grows with the print: about 51 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
