About Nina Tower

Nina Tower is a development of two high-rises, with 80 and 42 stories, at Tsuen Wan in Hong Kong's New Territories, close to Tsuen Wan West station. It was planned as the world's tallest tower at 518 m (1,699 ft); its closeness to Chek Lap Kok Airport limited the height to 319.8 m (1,049 ft).

Chinachem Group's owner later revised the plan and divided the project into two towers. The lower is called Nina Tower, after the late Nina Wang, and the higher is Teddy Tower, after her husband Teddy Wang. Despite the two names, the complex as a whole is known as Nina Tower. A sky lobby on the 41st floor connects the 2 towers.

The complex has a 1608-room hotel, office space, a shopping mall and convention and event space. Although the tower has 80 actual floors, any floor number ending in "4" is left out, because "four" and "death" sound alike in Mandarin Chinese. The topmost floor is therefore numbered 89.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 86 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 108 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 138 mm 1:2,344

Tall, narrow shaft
The slim tower has a curved cap at the top. Print slowly with good cooling, and use a bigger print size or 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the shaft and cap crisp.
Fine window lines
The sides carry fine panel and window lines. Full detail keeps all of them on a large print; Print friendly adapts them at small sizes.
One piece with the ground
Nina Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Nina Tower takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Nina Tower is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Nina Tower STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Nina Tower grows with the print: about 86 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
