Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A very tall, slim tower

A very tall, slim tower prints best at a larger size, with slower printing and good cooling for the upper section. Print friendly adapts the thinnest edges.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Marina Torch is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Marina Torch takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About The Marina Torch

The Marina Torch is a skyscraper of apartments in Dubai Marina, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also known as the Dubai Torch. It rises 352 m (1,155 ft), with 86 stories above ground and four below. On completion in 2011 it was the world's tallest residential building, beating Q1 in Gold Coast, Australia.

The original concept by Khatib and Alami called for 74 floors and 504 apartments, with parking for 536 vehicles. The project changed hands to Select Group, which appointed National Engineering Bureau to revise the design, and in May 2011 the tower opened. As built it contains 676 apartments and six retail units.

Fire damaged the building on February 21, 2015, again during restorative work on August 4, 2017, and once more on January 5, 2019. The 2015 fire charred the external cladding from the 50th floor upward, and 101 apartments were judged uninhabitable. Repairs began in May 2015, managed by the building's architect.
