192 m of The Washington New York City, 52 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Fine facade detail
The tall tower gains much of its look from straight edges and surface detail. Print friendly adapts small features at smaller sizes; Full detail keeps them for a large print or a fine nozzle.
- Slow print for the tall shaft
The tower is much taller than it is wide, so each layer near the top covers a small area. Print slowly with good cooling, and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
The Washington New York City is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Washington New York City takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About The Washington New York City
The Washington is a hotel at 8 Albany Street in Lower Manhattan, in New York City's Financial District. It occupies part of a mixed hotel and residential tower at 123 Washington Street that rises 192.1 meters (630 feet). The tower holds both hotel rooms and residences.
Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects designed the tower, and Tishman Construction built it. Its glass curtain wall is patterned with a grid of white, gray and clear panels. The hotel operated as the W New York Downtown Hotel before it took the name The Washington.
