  1. Slim lattice tower

The lattice shaft is the delicate part. Try Print friendly to keep thin members printable, or Full detail on a larger print, and slow the upper layers so the top cools properly.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Yokohama Marine Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Yokohama Marine Tower takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Yokohama Marine Tower

Yokohama Marine Tower is a lattice tower in Naka Ward, Yokohama, Japan. It is 106 meters (348 feet) high, with an observation deck at 100 meters. The tower was inaugurated in 1961. It is billed as the world's tallest lighthouse, although that depends on which structures are counted as lighthouses. In clear conditions, visitors on the observation deck can see Mount Fuji.

The tower has been closed and restored more than once. On December 25, 2006, it shut temporarily, and Yokohama's city government took ownership in order to restore it. It reopened on May 23, 2009, ready for Yokohama's 150th anniversary celebrations. In April 2019 it closed a second time for more renovations, reopening on September 1, 2022.

As a lighthouse, the tower flashes once every twenty seconds, with the light alternating between red and green. At first the shaft was lit in green and red at night, while after the May 2009 reopening the lights are white. The tower also appears in popular culture, including Godzilla vs. Mothra and From Up On Poppy Hill.
