14 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 700 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Masts standing clear of the roof
Sixteen slender masts stand free of the canopy and are tied back with stays. Print friendly adapts these thin parts at print scale; printing slowly with good cooling helps them stand.
- Oval opening in the roof
The canopy closes round an oval hole above the pitch, ringed by a truss. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep that ring and the tent folds of the fabric crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Seoul World Cup Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Seoul World Cup Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Seoul World Cup Stadium
The Seoul World Cup Stadium, known too as the Sangam Stadium, stands in Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, on World Cup-ro, and association football fills most of its calendar. Built for the World Cup of 2002, it opened on November 10, 2001. The Seoul Metropolitan Facilities Management Corporation has run it since the World Cup.
The stadium ranks second in South Korea, behind Seoul Olympic Stadium, and second among rectangular stadiums in Asia, with 66,704 seats. Those include 816 VIP seats, 754 press seats and 75 private Sky Box rooms holding between 12 and 29 people each. Fitting table seats cut the capacity from 66,806 to 66,704 in February 2014.
The roof was designed to represent a traditional Korean kite. It stands 50 meters high on 16 masts and shelters 90% of the seats, and it is clad in fiberglass fabric and polycarbonate glazing meant to look like hanji, the traditional Korean paper. The lighting inside the structure gives, at night, an effect close to that of a traditional Korean lamp. FC Seoul moved in during 2004, and the ground is the home of the South Korea national football team.
