About the Broadway–Chambers Building
On the northwest corner of Chambers Street and Broadway, at number 277, stands the Broadway–Chambers Building, an office building of 18 stories in Manhattan's Civic Center and Tribeca neighborhoods. The building was completed by 1900 to designs by Cass Gilbert and was the first of several of his buildings in New York City. Construction took place in 1899 and 1900.
Gilbert designed it in the Beaux-Arts style. Like a column, the facade has three horizontal parts: a base in granite, a shaft in brick and a capital in architectural terracotta. At the top, sculpture crowning the arcade cornice, including lion and woman heads, is one of Gilbert's trademarks.
The George A. Fuller Company built it, on a lot of roughly 15 by 29 m (50 by 95 feet). Companies working together put on an exhibit about its construction at the Paris Exposition of 1900. Gilbert went on to design the Woolworth Building, three blocks south on Broadway. In 1992 the Broadway–Chambers Building was designated a New York City landmark.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Slim tower, open arcade top
- The building is narrow and ends in an arcade of small openings under the roofline. Print slowly and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers so the top stays crisp; a larger print size keeps those openings.
- One piece with the ground
- The Broadway–Chambers Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Broadway–Chambers Building takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions
Is there a Broadway–Chambers Building STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Broadway–Chambers Building grows with the print: about 21 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
