283 m of Cheung Kong Center, 77 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Glass walls with little relief
A flat glass tower reads through its outline rather than surface detail. Print large enough for the facade to show, and use Full detail with a fine nozzle for the panel lines.
- One piece with the ground
Cheung Kong Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Cheung Kong Center takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Cheung Kong Center
Cesar Pelli designed this skyscraper in Central, Hong Kong. It has 70 stories, reaches 283 m (928 ft), and offers 117,100 m² of gross floor area. At its completion in 1999 it ranked fourth in the city, behind The Center, the Bank of China Tower and Central Plaza. The HSBC Hong Kong headquarters stands on one side and the Bank of China Tower on the other. The site combines the former Hong Kong Hilton, Beaconsfield House and the Garden Road car park.
Its form is a conventional black office block, unlike the mix of styles around Queen's Road, and it was intended to balance its more inventive neighbors. A feng shui master was brought in to deal with negative energy from the sharp edges of the Bank of China. The height was fixed by an imaginary line drawn from that tower to the HSBC Headquarters, leaving the building just under the 300 m mark that separates supertall skyscrapers.
Glass panels of 2.4 m by 2.1 m clad the exterior in a uniform grid, and optical fibers inside them can light up after dark with changing messages. Column-free floor plates measure 20,000 to 22,000 sq ft. Mitsubishi Electric supplied the region's fastest elevators, which run at up to 9 m per second. Cheung Kong Holdings is headquartered in the tower, alongside tenants from multinational banking.
