About the Elks Theatre
The opera house known as Prescott's Elks Theater and Performing Arts Center dates from the turn of the 20th century, is classically designed, and has seating for more than 500. It stands at East Gurley Street in Prescott, Arizona, in an Early Commercial style building of three stories, approximately 29 m (95 ft) wide and 38 m (125 ft) deep. It was one of numerous opera houses built by Elks lodges across the United States. The building was completed in 1905, and the National Register of Historic Places lists it under the name Elks Building and Theater.
In its early years the theater hosted minstrel shows, balls, plays and other performances. Movies came with the silent era around 1915, sound was added in 1929, and films kept being shown until the 1980s. After several changes of private ownership, the Arizona Community Foundation took over the opera house in the early 1980s, and the City of Prescott bought it in 2001. Work costing $1.75 million on the theater finished in 2010, and in 2012 the city sold the property to a nonprofit group, ETPAC (Elks Theater and Performing Arts Center).
The nonprofit group then set about renovating the three-story Elks Lodge #330, and all construction was completed in December 2016. Original barrel ceilings with tin stamp remain in other parts of the building, and the renovation uncovered a hidden staircase. A stained glass clock placed by the Brotherhood of Elks points to 11 o'clock, the hour of an Elks toast to absent members. The original copper elk, Bill, sits on the roof.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 6 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 7 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Tiny elk figure on the roof
- A small elk figure with thin antlers stands on the roof at the front. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- Small balconies and window frames
- Small balcony railings and window frames sit on the front wall. A bigger print size keeps more of them, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them crisp.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Elks Theatre takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The Elks Theatre is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there an Elks Theatre STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Elks Theatre grows with the print: about 6 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
