About the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown
In Tribeca, Manhattan, the tower at 30 Park Place combines a hotel and residences in one skyscraper; the hotel is named Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown. The tower has 82 stories and stands 282 m (926 ft) tall, among Lower Manhattan's tallest residential buildings. The top floors form the Private Residences, with 157 residences of one to six bedrooms, reached by a separate lobby for residents at 30 Park Place. Below them, the 189-room hotel has its own lobby on Barclay Street and opened in September 2016. Its amenities include a 75-foot lap pool and a spa with seven treatment rooms.
Silverstein Properties, which also developed the nearby World Trade Center, bought the site at 99 Church Street in November 2006, paying Moody's Corporation $170 million. An 11-story office building from 1951, Moody's former headquarters, stood there. Architect Robert A. M. Stern was named in November 2007. The project stalled by March 2009 because financing could not be secured during the 2008 financial crisis. Construction started in fall 2013; the tower topped out in early 2015, and the exterior and windows were fully installed by August 2015. The hotel's grand opening was held on September 19, 2016.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 76 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 95 mm | 1:3,000 |

- A stepped crown
- The top of the tower narrows through several setbacks. A larger print size keeps the steps and the window grid crisp, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm help the vertical edges.
- Tall and slim
- The tower is narrow compared with its height. Printing slowly with good cooling helps the upper floors come out clean.
- One piece with the ground
- The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
