26 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A large stadium bowl
The stadium is a wide bowl, so a larger print gives its outline more room and keeps the rim clear. Print friendly adapts small parts; Full detail keeps every modeled feature.
- Layers for the rim
Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the top rim and wall corners clean at the default print size.
- One piece with the ground
The Hong Kong Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hong Kong Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Hong Kong Stadium
Hong Kong's main sports ground, the stadium lies in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island, in the Caroline Hill valley. Reconstruction turned the old Government Stadium into Hong Kong Stadium, which reopened in March 1994. Its rectangular ground holds 40,000: 18,260 on the main level; executive level has 3,173; the upper tier has 18,510; and 57 places are for wheelchair users. Restricted land ruled out a running track.
The ground at So Kon Po was a burial site after a fire struck Happy Valley Racecourse in 1918, until the government moved the tombs to Aberdeen. A U-shaped Government Stadium, finished by 1953, seated 28,000 with cover over part of the stands. The Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club put forward a rebuilding plan in the 1990s, and the ground became a 40,000-seat rectangle.
International football in Hong Kong usually takes place here, and the national team plays at the ground; Kitchee SC, a Premier League club, also uses it for international fixtures. The first AFC Asian Cup finals were staged here, as were four editions of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. From 1982 through 2024 the Hong Kong Sevens came every year, and the Rugby World Cup Sevens visited in 1997 and 2005.
