About 101 Park Avenue
In Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood, on Park Avenue at 41st Street, 101 Park Avenue rises 192 m (629 ft). It opened in 1982, and Eli Attia Architects designed it. The building has its own ZIP Code, 10178, and holds a mix of tenants along with several attractions and amenities.
The tower turns up often on screen. Escape from the Bronx (1983) uses it as the base of the General Construction (GC) Corporation, and in The Secret of My Success (1987) its facade stands in for the fictional "Pemrose building". In Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) it plays the fictional "Clamp Center". In a handful of episodes in Seinfeld's ninth season, it houses George Costanza's office.
Its roof appears in Friends with Benefits (2011), and it serves as a crash site in The Avengers (2012). The roof also featured in the 1985 opener of the second season of Miami Vice. The final shots of the clip for Michel Petrucciani's piece Looking up were filmed on the roof too.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- A tall slab with a window grid
- The tower is a plain slab covered in fine window lines. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a larger print size keep the grid crisp; Full detail suits a fine nozzle.
- Tall, narrow print
- At full height the model is slender, so print slowly with good cooling to keep the walls clean near the top.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 101 Park Avenue takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
