About Bern
Bern serves as Switzerland's de facto capital and is known as the federal city, and it is also the cantonal capital of Bern. It is the fifth-most populous Swiss city, after Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Lausanne, and its agglomeration of 36 municipalities had 406,900 people in 2014. The historic old town, in the center, became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, and the Aare river surrounds it. The Zähringer family founded the medieval city, probably in 1191 under Berthold V. Bern became a free imperial city in 1218, joined the Swiss Confederacy in 1353, and became the federal city in 1848.
Bern's city center is largely medieval, and from the 15th century onward it was gradually rebuilt into its present form. The best-known sight is the Zytglogge, a medieval clock tower with moving puppets. The city also has the Münster, a Gothic cathedral from the 15th century, and a 15th-century town hall, and 6 km (4 miles) of arcades give the old town among Europe's longest covered shopping promenades. The Federal Palace, home of the national parliament and government, was built from 1857 to 1902. The old town's public fountains carry eleven Renaissance statues, and nearly all of the 16th-century fountains are Hans Gieng's work.

Yes. All 2 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.

How tall do the Bern landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 3 and 15 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
