About Canberra
With an estimated 484,630 residents in 2025, Canberra is the capital of Australia and the largest population center of the Australian Capital Territory. It ranks eighth among Australian cities by population and is the country's largest inland city. Its urban sprawl borders New South Wales, and the Brindabellas, part of the Australian Alps, lie to the south and west. Federation of the Australian colonies led to its founding as the national seat of government, a compromise between Sydney and Melbourne, and the capital was formally named Canberra in 1913. Aboriginal Australians, including the Ngunnawal and Ngambri, had lived in the area for up to 21,000 years.
Canberra is unusual among Australian cities in being entirely planned, grounded in a design by the American architects Walter Burley Griffin with Marion Mahony Griffin. Their plan drew on the garden city movement and set geometric motifs in line with City Hill, Capital Hill, Mount Ainslie and Black Mountain. The design can be seen from the Telstra Tower, the highest point, and from the summit of Mount Ainslie. Lake Burley Griffin and the National Arboretum are among its notable features. Survivors of early European settlement include Blundells Cottage and St John's Anglican Church.

Common questions
Are these Canberra landmark models free?
Yes. All 5 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Canberra landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Canberra landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 7 and 18 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
