About Ottawa
Ottawa is the capital of Canada. It lies in the southeastern part of Ontario, where the Ottawa River meets the Rideau River, and across the Ottawa River is Gatineau, Quebec. The city's population was 1,017,449 in 2021. It began in 1826 as Bytown, was incorporated in 1850, and took the name Ottawa in 1855. The city is the political center of the country, with the federal government headquartered there. Its buildings include the Parliament of Canada and the Supreme Court as well as the viceroy's residence and the Prime Minister's office.
Government buildings have given much of Ottawa's architecture a formal, functional character, with the Parliament Buildings adding Gothic Revival style. Thomas Fuller and Chillion Jones designed the original Centre Block, since replaced, Thomas Stent and Augustus Laver designed the East and West Blocks, and Central Park architect Calvert Vaux did the landscape design. Height restrictions were first set so that Parliament Hill and the 92.2 m (302 ft) Peace Tower could be seen from most of the city, and until at least the 1950s they kept buildings under 150 feet. The Rideau Canal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site on June 29, 2007.

Common questions
Are these Ottawa landmark models free?
Yes. All 6 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Ottawa landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Ottawa landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 9 and 19 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
